ORTHESIS EXOS Specific Recommendations

EXOS orthoses are used to stabilize the thumb, hand and/or wrist to promote healing of the injured area. It is an adjustable and modifiable orthosis to ensure the patient’s comfort. It allows the patient to take it off once a day and to wash it.


To put on the brace:
1) Position the thumb, hand and/or wrist in the brace.
2) Push the BOA button and pull the tab to equalize the lines.
3) Turn the BOA knob clockwise.
***The BOA knob should be in the locked position when the brace is worn.


Wash the inside and outside of the splint with antibacterial soap. Rinse thoroughly with cold water. Let it dry in the open air.
Avoid exposing the brace to too much heat as it may fall apart.
